il Passaggio , offers you this gourmet recipe for your end of meals and your snacks which comes straight from Italy: Coffee and cocoa powder tiramisu
Ingredients (for 4-6 people):
- 500g mascarpone ( link to our product )
- 5 eggs
- 100g sugar
- 1 bowl of strong coffee ( link to our product )
- unsweetened cocoa
- 1 pack of Savoiardi biscuits ( link to our product )
Preparation :
- Separate the egg whites from the yolks.
- Mix the yolks with the sugar until the mixture turns white.
- Add the mascarpone and mix well to obtain a smooth cream.
- Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff.
- "Gently" fold the egg whites into the mascarpone cream.
- Soak the biscuits (lightly) in the coffee and place them at the bottom of a dish.
- Cover with mascarpone cream and repeat the operation until all the ingredients are used up (two layers normally).
- Sprinkle with bitter cocoa and refrigerate for at least 10 hours before serving (we recommend making the day before).
Variants:
- You can replace the coffee with Limoncello.
- You can add chopped almonds, crushed walnuts or chocolate chips to the mascarpone cream.
- You can replace the cocoa powder with grated dark chocolate.
Advice :
- Use quality coffee to get a better taste. Il Passaggio offers you just that.
- Do not soak the biscuits in the coffee for too long, as they will become too soft.
- Let the Tiramisu sit in the refrigerator long enough for it to set completely before serving.
- Place it back in the refrigerator between each serving.
